The Taggart family has sad news to share. Doug Grande, a Principal here at Taggart Insurance, was killed in an auto accident on Sunday, March 31st.
For the past 21 years Doug was an invaluable part of the Taggart team and an amazing friend. We are deeply saddened by the news of his sudden passing and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family.
Doug’s humor and magnetic presence will linger in the halls at Taggart, and the legacy he built will continue to live on in each of our hearts. Throughout Doug’s life, he was a hard worker and driven businessman, striving always to improve the lives of those around him. As a leader in the Boulder business community, he will be deeply missed.
Like many Coloradans, Doug had a passion for being active and enjoying the great outdoors. He spent much of his spare time cycling, fly fishing, golfing and working on cars. As a leader, he always had a quick smile and exhibited a quiet confidence and determination – traits we all aspire to in life.
Doug touched so many lives in so many different ways. He was a caring coworker, loving family man, friend, partner, father, and husband.
We will remember Doug Grande as the wonderful man he was, and carry on his legacy at Taggart Insurance and in our personal lives.
There will be a celebration of life for Doug Grande on Sunday, April 7th at 2:00 pm at Howe Mortuary in Longmont with a reception to follow. We will be sharing more info about the service as it comes in.
